On Friday, 8 August 2025, Scarboro Youth Members, Zoe Doyle and Austin Wyeth were recognised for their bravery at the 2024/2025 Coastal Bravery Awards.
The Bronze Medallion for Courage - Youth Award, recognises a person or persons under the age of 16 who performs a life saving act demonstrating courage on the West Australian coast, or any person or persons under the age of 16 who used the skills learned through their participation in surf life saving to perform an act demonstrating courage away from the West Australian coast.
Zoe and Austin were recognised for their outstanding efforts where they used their skills to rescue people in trouble at Scarborough Beach outside of patrol hours in separate events.
Scarboro is incredibly proud of what Zoe and Austin achieved and congratulate them on their award.
