Nicole was made a Patrol Captain during the second year of her membership, continuing that role for 3 years with her patrol winning Champion Patrol in 2003/04.
Nicole became Youth Development Officer 2002/03. This position was established to halt the decline in participation in the youth age range of 13 to 18 years. Nicole took on this role with her usual mix of pragmatism and gusto and encouraged the participation of this age group in Sunday morning activities including swims, runs, boards and water safety, and the introduction of the Rotto Proficiency Camp for the juniors, which has now morphed into an annual camp at Lancelin. She also promoted SLSWA leadership opportunities for this age group.
Nicole was made Lifesaving Officer in 2006 and implemented many new initiatives. After a short time away to focus on family, she returned as Competition Officer in 2015. She then took on the role of Junior Officer in 2016- 2020 and then moved into Age Group Coordinator for U14’s and U15’s. She has also coached our pool rescue competitors.
