Our Board
Scarboro's Board of Directors comprises eight directors with dedicated portfolios.


Clint first joined Scarboro in 1990 as a nipper, gaining his Surf Rescue in 1991 and Bronze in 1993. He was an active competitor in surf race, champion life saver, first aid and R&R. Clint has held a number of positions including four years as Club Captain 1998-2002 and was the Surf Life Saving WA Volunteer of the Year in 2001. After a break, he rejoined when his kids started Nippers and has been actively involved as an age group manager. He joined the Board as Director of Administration in 2021 and was elected President in 2023.

Marnie joined Scarboro in 1990 obtaining her Bronze the same year. She has enjoyed competing in various disciplines including skis, beach, IRB racing and has been an active patrolling member. Due to work commitments, Marnie has also been a member of Dee Why SLSC and North Narrabeen SLSC where she rowed boats. Upon rejoining the Club as a Nipper parent, Marnie was invigorated to invest further time and join the board as the Business Development Director in 2020.

Melissa joined Scarboro as a nipper in the early 90s before gaining her SRC, Bronze and Silver medallion. She was a patrol captain and also held the position of Patrol Officer in the early 2000s. Melissa was a state and national medal winner in the 5 person R&R. After a short break, she rejoined as a parent member in 2012 with her children now coming up through nippers and youthies. She joined the board in 2023 as Director of Administration.

Matthew first joined Scarboro in 2010 to compete in Surf Boat rowing, earning several state medals and representing Western Australia. In 2020, he joined the Board as Finance Director, allowing him to further contribute to the growth of the Club and its community.

Tanya joined the club in 1999 and gained her Bronze Medallion later that year, she competed in March Past and R&R, winning State Medals in 2001-2004, 2008 and then again between 2018-2023, including 3 gold medals over that time. Tanya held the position of Finance Director from 2003 until 2015 and was appointed as a life member in 2009. She was appointed Director Surf Sports in 2021 with the aim to improve the success of Scarboro in surf sports competition heading into the Club's 100th year in 2028.

Belinda joined surf as an adult in Albany in 2002, gaining her Bronze Medallion that year and going on to actively patrol every year since, being a patrol captain for 19 of those years. She was Scarboro’s education officer from 2014 to 2023, before taking over as Beach Operations Director in 2023. Belinda has been awarded SLSWA State Training Officer of the Year in 2011, 2012, and 2015, and was awarded SLSA National Training Officer of the Year in 2015. As a competitor, Belinda has competed in surf boats, champion patrol and first aid.

Stelio joined Scarboro as a Nipper parent in 2020. He completed his bronze medallion in 2022 and has been a patrolling member since. He has continued his surf lifesaving development through additional training, most recently undertaking the IRB Driver course. He has become very passionate about lifesaving, both as an organisation and the services that they provide the community, as well as for its health and social benefits.

Graham first joined Scarboro in 1990 as a nipper gaining his Surf Rescue Certificate in 1996, Bronze in 1997 and Gold medallion in 2000. He has held the positions of First Aid Officer, IRB officer, Instructor, Assessor and more recently Nipper Officer and Age Manager. Graham has competed in many surf sports disciplines winning numerous State and Australian titles. He was named the State Youth Athlete of the year in 2000. Graham joined the Scarboro Board in 2021 in the newly created portfolio of Director Member Development.
