Purpose, Values & Goals
The Scarboro SLSC Executive Committee have held regular strategic planning days since 2008. In 2017 we commenced work on our latest strategic plan ‘Scarboro 100’ which will see us through to our 100th anniversary as a Club; this plan was developed through consultation with our members and aligns to SLSWA and SLSA strategic plans.
Our purpose is to cultivate and develop an active and healthy community to generate better and more resilient people through surf life saving. For the first time ever the ‘Scarboro 100 Strategic Plan’ also set out our values as an organisation, these too were developed in consultation with our membership and underpin the way we work and drive our culture for the better. Our strategic plan focuses on three key areas:
- Saving Lives
- Developing Our Members
Our strategic plan outlines the long term framework and is underpinned by our annual planning, budgeting and reporting processes. Our progress towards our long term goals measured against our strategic plan scorecard to ensure that we remain on track and focused on delivering for our Club, our members and the community.
