Patrols

Scarboro SLSC patrols Scarborough and Brighton Beaches on weekends and public holidays from October to April. On weekdays the patrols are carried out by City of Stirling lifeguards, visit the “quick links” for the City Of Stirling website.

All Scarboro SLSC patrols are run by volunteers, with an active member patrolling half a day roughly every 4 weeks.

As per SLSA Policy, a minimum number of patrol hours are required to be able to compete at both States & Aussies. A minimum of 16 patrol hours must be completed between 01/01/11 & 31/12/11 by members 13 years and up. Active Reserve must have completed 8 patrol hours. Different patrol hours apply to new members who gain their award in the season they join, further information can be found in SLSA Policy here......
